From August 7-9th, the German Kart Championship is planning to start the 2020 season. But before the engines of the highest German karting championship buzz again on the Erftlandring, it was necessary to adjust to the current Corona situation. In recent weeks, an extensive hygiene concept has been developed. The races will be subject to final approval by the local authorities.

Jenni Wade and Björn Niemann presented the DKM racing calendar 2020. Due to the Corona crisis, this also had to be adjusted. The participants can look forward to four thrilling racing weekends. The starting shot is fired at the Erftlandring in Kerpen, then on to Mülsen, Wackersdorf and the final in Ampfing.

After a long winter break, riders, teams and organizers are looking forward to the start of the German Kart Championship 2020. It starts on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. The first race of the year will take place in Bavaria from May 8th to 10th. Afterwards, it continues to Wackersdorf, Kerpen, Mülsen and Genk in Belgium.

This weekend, 25th - 26th January 2020, the international kart fair is going to take place for the 28th time in Offenbach on the Main. Next to numerous news regarding kart racing, the German Motorsports Foundation (DMSB) is also going to present itself in hall A1. The five grade series of the German Kart Championship are also going to be there. The new BRP-Rotax E-Kart “Project E20” of the DEKM will also be presented.

The kick-off to the German Kart Championship 2020 season is going to happen on January 6th at 12 o’clock with the start of the online registration. Interested drivers can register for the four grade series DKM (OK), DJKM (OK-Junior), DSKM (KZ2) and DSKC (KZ2) on the website www.kart-dm.de. The racing calendar consists of five races spread over Germany and Belgium.

It was the big finale of the German Kart Championship this season. 149 drivers from all over the world started on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing and fought for the coveted victories in very mixed weather. The championship titles finally went to Harry Thompson (DKM), Robert De Haan (DJKM), Stan Pex (DSKM) and Senna Van Walstijn (DSKC).
